MONT58 Tanzania Single Origin Coffee Beans

 Grown on GDM Farm, named after its owner Mr. Grivas D Mwangoka, an entrepreneurial figure in the Mbozi district, this variety provides employment to approximately 70 people during low season and 300 during harvesting. The workers and pickers are recruited from nearby villages, offering income and opportunities to both skilled and unskilled men and women. While the majority of the staff is hired for seasonal tasks such as harvesting, pruning, and other activities, the farm faces challenges due to the high cost of inputs and low market prices for coffee. Climate change has also posed a new threat, causing inadequate rains and longer dry days, leading to reduced yield and further difficulties for the community. To address this, Mr. Mwangoka has proposed the implementation of a new irrigation system to collect rainwater and reuse it during droughts, which will not only combat the challenges but also increase the farm's productivity. Additionally, Mr. Mwangoka actively supports the local schools near the farm
